Mission

Founded in 1964, the Netherlands Association of International Contractors (NABU) represents the collective interests of Dutch contractors operating abroad. NABU focuses on establishing favourable conditions and a level playing field for Dutch contractors on foreign markets and on promoting the construction industry's image.

NABU fulfils a bridging role between government and international operating contractors as – on all relevant matters to the international construction business – it actively engages in regular consultation with government and closely related institutions, both on a national and international level, as well as with other trade organisations.

NABU maintains relations with international, European and all other professional organisations whose policy is of relevance to its members. NABU actively participates in the debate with and within these organisations in order to improve the political, financial, economic and legal environment for Dutch international contractors.

NABU offers Dutch contractors a forum for the exchange of experience in matters relating to their international operations and, if requested, provides advisory services to its members regarding export & project finance, fiscal matters, development aid, trade policy, risk control, contract conditions, markets and countries, as well as government support schemes.
